Honey hot chicken tenders, garlic parmesan wedges, and green beans

Spice up your life šŸ”„ Hot honey is one of my favourite flavours for wings, and I’ve brought it here to you in the form of tenders paired with dreamy garlic parmesan wedges and some green beans for good measure. If you’re sharing this meal with someone who isn’t a fan of the heat, Mr. HomeForFood has given the tenders without the honey two thumbs up šŸ‘šŸ‘ …especially with ranch dressing!

Ingredients

For the chicken tenders

  • 800 grams chicken fillets, patted dry
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 75 grams flour
  • 160 grams panko bread crumbs
  • 40 grams parmesan, shredded
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Hot honey

  • 120 ml honey
  • 2 tsp hot sauce (I use Frank's)
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

Wedges

  • 800g potatoes, cut into wedges
  • 120 ml vegetable oil
  • 1 large clove of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 70 grams shredded parmesan, divided

Green beans

  • 100 grams green beans
  • Oil for drizzling
  • Salt & pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 220c/200fan and line two baking sheets.
  • Parboil potato wedges for 8 mins and set aside to steam dry.
  • Mix the dry ingredients for the chicken in a bowl, and set it next to a plate with the flour and a bowl with the eggs.
  • Coat your chicken fillets first in flour with excess shaken off, followed by the egg, and then the bread crumb mixture before placing them on a baking sheet. Drizzle the chicken with some oil.
  • Toss the potato wedges in a bowl with the remaining ingredients before laying them on a tray. Pour any remaining oil on top.
  • Put the trays in the oven for 15 mins and then flip the tenders and shuffle the wedges. Coat the beans with some oil, salt, and pepper and add to the sheets. Cook 15-20 mins more, stirring green beans part way, and until chicken is golden and wedges have begun to crisp.
  • Just before plating, whisk the hot honey ingredients in a sauce pan and warm slightly.
  • Plate up and drizzle the chicken with hot honey šŸÆ
